Deacon Denson Obituary
Deacon Johnnie (Johnny) Denson was born Mach 10, 1956 in Eufaula Alabama to Hattie Forte Denson and the Late Lewis Denson Jr. He was the second of 7 children.
He confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and later joined True Love Baptist Church where he remain faithful until the decline of his health.
Johnny graduated from Rebecca Comer High School in 1974 where he was very active in baseball. After high school he enlisted into the U.S. Army receiving an honorable discharge. He attended Chauncey Sparks State Technical College earning 2 Associate degrees, One degree in Industrial Electricity and the second in Plumbing. Johnny worked with the City of Eufaula Parks and Recreation as the Maintenance Supervisor until his retirement after 19 years of service.
Johnny loved hunting, fishing, and cooking anything he could catch that was edible.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Zola Haynes Denson and five children, Nakisial, Cedric, Kevin, Shawanda, Maria. 4 Grandchildren, 1 Great Granddaughter. His Mother Hattie Denson, 4 Sisters, Virginia (James) Dale Athen Al, Barbara McCord Jacksonville Fl, Linda Sheridan and Marilyn Martel of Cincinnati Ohio . 1 Brother James Denson Pittsburgh Pa. He is also survived by his extended family Leola Haynes, mother in law, 4 Sister in laws, Lula Sanders Syracuse NY, Barbara (Edward) West, West Palm Beach Fl, Elosie (Ulysses) Donaldsonville, Ga and Edwina Haynes of Belle Glade Fl. 4 Brother in laws, Henry Sanders and Rev Willie (Patricia) Sanders Syracuse NY, James (Louvina) Haynes Tallahassee Fl, Danny Haynes Belle Glade Fl. A host of Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends
