Minnie Tatum Obituary

Sis. Minnie Dora Tatum, known to many near and far as "Granny," departed this life
on April 10, 2022. On June 28, 1946, Tatum was born to the late James & Lula Bell
Bland. She was baptized into The Pentecostal Church of God in May of 1976. She continued in the faith under Bishop Sears, Bishop Evins, Bishop Rice, and now under the
leadership of Bishop James Stoudemire. Many knew her by her good ole soul food
country cooking and her love. She had a generous heart and would help anybody
who was in need. She has provided shelter to many throughout her life, and because
of her love for God, she loved people. She helped raise and nurture many of the PCG
children. She also had a passion for singing and could harmonize with anyone with
her third alto singing voice.
Granny was preceded in death by: Elder Lorenzo Tatum (late husband), James & Lula
Bell Bland (Parents), Eddie Bland, Jack Bland, and Elder Curtis Bland (brothers). She
leaves to cherish her memories: One sister Ruthie Bland of Connecticut, Sister-in-law
Sis. Wealthy Bland of Georgetown, GA. Children: Two daughters, Bertha Cochran
(Rivers Cochran) of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Loletta Harrison (Eld. Vance Harrison,
Jr.) of Statesboro, GA, Two sons, Eddie Bland (Wylene Bland) of Dallas, GA, and Alton
Wiseman of Jacksonville, FL. A special nephew Chris Bland and a special cousin and
sister in Christ, Sis. Annie B. Cannon, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and associates, especially her PCG family.
