Deacon James Charles Pugh was born in Eufaula, Alabama
on October 1, 1950 to the late Mr. Jim Pugh and Mrs. Johnnie
B. White-Pugh.
At an early age James accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior
where he united with Martin Zion Baptist Church on Gam
mage Road. James grew to love Christ and was appointed
Deacon where he service faithfully for many years until his
health failed.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Eloise Pugh of
Eufaula, Alabama; five daughters, Patricia Pugh, Crystal
Pugh, Jackie Pugh and Charla Pugh all of Eufaula, Alabama;
and Ebony Woods of Midway, Alabama; one son, James
Pugh, Jr.; one step-son, Carlos Gamble; two grandchildren,
Elvontae D. Burks and D'Marion J. Johnson; one brother,
Walter (Eula Pugh) Pugh; five sisters, Lillie (Cotis) Hicks,
Trenton, NJ, Elle Maude (Harvey) Tooks, St. Petersburg, FL,
Johnnie Mae Glenn, Eufaula, Alabama, Carrie Hicks, Crystal
Rivers, Florida; and Annie W. Pugh, Eufaula, AL. Also a very
special friend, Telis Riley; along with a host of nieces,
nephews, and extended family, co-workers and friends.
