Life's journey for Fannie Mae Denard Davis Williams began on March 21, 1919, in Springhill Community, Barbour County, AL. She was the second born of five children and her parents, the late Rev. David Denard, Sr. & Charlotte Jackson Denard.
In 1967, she was united in holy matrimony to Archie Williams in Hammond, IN. They were blessed to be married 42 years until he went to be with the Lord in 2009.
After moving to Hammond, IN in 1967, Fannie became a member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1117 Merrill Street, under the pastorate of Rev. Grover. During those 42 years, she taught Sunday School for the Junior, Young Adult, Men & Women classes. She mentored many young women and men over the years, always pointing them towards the righteous way to live.
She quietly and gracefully made the transition from Earth to Heaven on Friday, May 5, 2017. Her 98 years were rich spiritually, as well as morally, and our family is grateful for how her wisdom, patience, discipline and love have molded our lives.
Fannie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Archie Williams; sons, Napoleon and Daniel Davis; grandson, Dwight Davis;three sisters, Janie Battle, Charlotte Thompson, and Evelyn Battle; and only brother, Rev. David D. Denard, Jr.
