Mrs Scherry Beard

The sunrise of Scherry L Franklin-Beard began in Eufaula, Barbour County, Alabama on April 20, 1942 to the late Albert Franklin, Sr and Estella Howard-Franklin. She is preceded in death by her sister, Estella Franklin Smith, two brothers, Albert Franklin Jr. and Henry Franklin. Sister in law, Lillie Rocquemore Franklin.

She was educated in the Barbour County School System in Eufaula, Alabama. She received and confessed Christ at an early age and served Him faithfully as Mother of House of Prayer Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor John E. Harrison until she went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 15, 2017.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Willie (Dekisha) Franklin, Columbus, Georgia. Three daughters, Lillian Jackson, Gloria (Anthony) Davis, Columbus, Georgia and Jacqueline R. Mapp, Norfolk, Virginia. Five stepsons, Willie (Connie) King, Major (Carolyn) King, Leroy (Pam) King, Willie (Darlene) Hicks Columbus, Georgia, and Moses King, Jonesboro, Georgia. Brothers, Will Ed (Mary) Franklin, Detroit, Michigan. Joseph Hicks, Eufaula, Alabama, Peter Paul (Jacqueline) Hicks, Midland, Georgia and Oscar Hicks, Columbus, Georgia. A sister, Mary Francis Diaz, Macon, Georgia and sister in-law Margaret Franklin, Columbus, Ohio; special friend and companion James Floyd; Twenty eight grandchildren, forty-five great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild, nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends
